    Movie Plot:
With John’s social life at a standstill and his ex-wife about to get remarried, a down on his luck divorcee finally meets the woman of his dreams, only to discover she has another man in her life – her son. Still single seven years after the breakup of his marriage, John has all but given up on romance. But at the urging of his ex-wife and best friend Jamie, John grudgingly agrees to join her and her fiance Tim at a party. To his and everyone else’s surprise, he actually manages to meet someone: the gorgeous and spirited Molly. Their chemistry is immediate. The relationship takes off quickly but Molly is oddly reluctant to take the relationship beyond John’s house. Perplexed, he follows her home and discovers the other man in Molly’s life: her son, Cyrus. A 21-year-old new age musician, Cyrus is his mom’s best friend and shares an unconventional relationship with her. Cyrus will go to any lengths to protect Molly and is definitely not ready to share her with anyone, especially John. Before long, the two are locked in a battle of wits for the woman they both love – and it appears only one man can be left standing when it’s over. Using the innovative improvisational techniques that have earned them critical accolades and a devoted following, Jay Duplass and Mark Duplass enter the mainstream with a touching, original story that blends humor and heartbreak, much like life itself.

After Bug helps to get Dick fired, the two hatch a drug-addled plan to grab enough money to allow them to live on easy street forever. Their heist involves ripping off an ATM on a Friday, the thought being that then the machine will be packed with loads of cash. The best part, Dick surmises, is that no one will have to get shot or die. But plans never go quite as expected, and these unruly thugs soon find themselves embroiled in a shootout that leads to a chase when they steal an armoured truck during the exchange of gunfire.

    MULTIPLE SARCASMS

    Movie Plot:
It’s New York, 1979. Gabriel Richmond is a talented architect with a seemingly rich life as he has a caring wife, loving daughter and life long friends. Yet, he spends most days in the movie theater, hiding out from work, escaping into a fictional world where he can more readily relate to the made up characters. When fiction shines a mirror on his own life, an inspired Gabriel begins writing a play not-so-loosely based on his reality, examining all of the relationships that make his life what it is. At first a hobby, the play begins to consume Gabriel’s own self-examination. Slowly he realizes the fragility of his relationships and overall decisions in life, but does not know what to do with this information other than write about it. Gabriel’s work eventually gains momentum just as his real life begins to fall apart. Equipped with a hand-held tape recorder and typewriter, he begins a journey to re-author his own life, looking back on the pieces of his fractured self. He begins to see that life is not always as controlled as a play or movie and sometimes the best thing an author can do is let the characters speak for themselves. Emblematic of the self-discovery that was hatching in New York (and many other cities) at the end of the 1970’s, Multiple Sarcasms shines a light on not only Gabriel’s life, but also the complex people that make it up. From his wife and daughter to his colleagues at work and lifelong best friend – Gabriel tries to understand these complex people who collectively make up too much of his own self worth. Driven by an ensemble of actors’ actors, Multiple Sarcasms is a touching film that is all at once original and refreshingly derivative.
