    Movie Plot:
    Dr. Faraday (Domhnall Gleeson), the son of a housemaid, has built a life of quiet respectability as a country doctor. During the long hot summer of 1947, he is called to a patient at Hundreds Hall, where his mother once worked. The Hall has been home to the Ayres family for more than two centuries and is now in decline. But Mrs Ayres (Charlotte Rampling), and her two grown children, Caroline (Ruth Wilson)and Roddy (Will Poulter), are haunted by something more ominous than a dying way of life.     Movie Plot:
    The story revolves around two very different sisters, somewhat estranged, who, over a few short days, are forced together to sift through seismic changes in their lives. Ines (Alicia Vikander) is the extrovert, a photographer who lives in New York; Emilie (Eva Green), the introvert, has asked her sister to join her on a mystery trip. As the two drive into the wooded European countryside and reach their destination, it gradually dawns on Ines why she has been asked to accompany her sister.
